Ningana House QLD

Interior Design
  • Contacted by the client to provide assistance to the builder for selection of materials for a project home on a large riverside site, the interior design scope rapidly expanded. Working within the confines of the designed building envelope, the studio redesigned the interior spaces to minimize structured zones and created a haven of retreat with numerous entertaining and living spaces seamlessly flowing from one to the other. The material expression has a Balinese quality and draws on recycled timbers and the blurring of indoor/outdoor spaces, essential to the client’s lifestyle.

Every part of the house was scrutinized and labored over with bespoke joinery including a bar and tepanyaki outdoor kitchen designed to compliment the client’s existing furniture pieces and art collection. The studio also assisted in the design of the landscaped courtyard adjacent to the master bathroom and masterplanning of the overall estate including lagoon and lap pools, tennis court and guest accommodation.
